If You Like... Christmas Edition

We all love a good Christmas movie. But what if I could give you a book recommendation similar to your favorite Christmas movie? Well, that's what I'm here to do today.

As a disclaimer, the book recs won't all be Christmas-themed. I haven't actually read a lot of Christmas books. But they'll have a similar vibe.

If you like... Elf

Try... Sal and Gabi Break the Universe

Both of these are funny and irreverent, but underneath that, they're about characters trying to find their place in the world. One is about a human who thinks he's an elf and one is about an middle schooler who can open rifts to other universes, but other than that, they're pretty similar.

If you like... Klaus

Try... Thornghost

These books both have great, snowy vibes with a touch of danger and the supernatural. Thornghost is definitely more fantasy than Klaus, but they're both magical.

If you like... Die Hard

Try... Batman: Nightwalker

It's hard to find a book as good as Die Hard. But this one comes close, with a gritty aesthetic, gangs of villains, and mystery to unravel.

If you like... White Christmas

Try... Jo and Laurie

If you like a happy ending after a long will-they-won't-they period, then you'll like Jo and Laurie. Plus, they're both historical love stories that fall under the swoon-worthy category.

If you like... Home Alone

Try... Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library

Spunky boy protagonists. Puzzles, tricks, and games. They're both fun stories with lots of heart, even if one takes place at home and the other in a fantastical library.
