July Recap

July Recap

July is at an end. The temperature is high and so is the humidity sometimes. This month's been a little busy and kind of stressful, but I made it through. And next month's my birthday, so that's something to look forward to.

What I Did

• The biggest news of the month would probably be that I got my first job. I'm working at Marshalls and I'm really nervous about starting this week. We'll see how this affects my life and my blogging.

• I had a fun Forth of July going to a parade, making tasty food, and watching the Capital Forth.

• We got to meet some of the people from our local Christian station at their ice cream tour. It was fun and not too hot.

• My family also had a chance to go to a Shakespeare performance that was super awesome. It was Henry VI, Part III, but surprisingly interesting. It was done in a casual style, so they didn't wear much costumes, and the audience got to yell things, so it was awesome.

Blog

• First off, if I haven't been replying to your comments the past month or more, I am so sorry. It turns out Blogger stopped sending you emails whenever someone comments, so when I happened to check my waiting for approval section, I had ones from way back in May or something. Thanks, Blogger.

• My most popular post this month was An Introduction to. . . Fantasy. I didn't realize it would be so popular, but I'm glad people are enjoying it.

Movies and Music

• One of the most exciting things I did this month was seeing Incredibles 2 with my family. We almost never see movies in the theater, so it was a special experience. The movie was indeed, incredible, although there were some strobe light bits I couldn't watch. It really was worth the wait.

• We also watched four new movies this month. Sherlock Gnomes, A Wrinkle in Time, Ferdinand, and Peter Rabbit. I would rank them with Peter Rabbit being best (it was surprisingly good), A Wrinkle in Time and Sherlock Gnomes in the middle, and Ferdinand at the bottom.

• I also listened through all two of For King and Country's albums. I really like their sound and wish they had more I could listen to. But their new album isn't out until October.

Writing and Art

• I'm over 30k words into my 50k words goal on The Warrior and the Wizard. It's been really fun returning to that world instead of just editing the first book.

• My editing is also going pretty well. There are still lots of things that need work, but I'm reaching the end of the stuff I needed to massively rewrite (aka, most of it).

• For art, I drew the Ninth and Tenth Doctors and painted the next painting for our room.

August Thoughts

• I'll start my job and fully join the adult world. It's terrifying, but it's one of those things you have to do.

• On to Doctors Eleven and Twelve. And hope that there is more of Thirteen by the time I get to her. And maybe do some additional art as well.

• Hopefully finish writing WaW and editing LS so I can move on to something new.

What have you done this month? What was your first job? Have you seen any movies on the big screen recently? Tell me in the comments.

That's so cool about your first job! I'm sure you'll do great. My first job was working as a receptionist for my Kung Fu Dojo, and now I'm working as a part-time assistant teacher there. :-D It's fun. I hope you have a spectacular August!!!
