Villains and the Five Love Languages

Villains and the Five Love Languages

Villains get such bad rap for always being mean and horrible. But if you look closer, you'll see they're actually expressing love, in their own way, through their evil actions. (Yes, this is a humor post. Please enjoy.)

1. Words of Affirmation

Villains are always saying things to their minions like "You idiot" or "You've made a mess of things again". This words of affirmation help remind the minions how much the villain needs and depends on them. How else will the villain get the motivation to go take care of the hero by himself if the minion doesn't screw things up again?

2. Quality Time

Who else does the villain hang out with but their minions? This wonderful, uninterrupted time gives them the opportunity to bond in that special way that only master and servant can. Look how happy the villains are when locked up with their most trusted henchman.

3. Acts of Service

Probably one of the things villains are best at. They are always doing things for others, like getting rid of that pesky money or annoying relative. Freeing the world from governments that oppress the people or removing national landmarks. There's no one better at acts of service than a good ol' villain.

4. Gifts

Villains don't always give gifts, but when they do it's well thought out. They give their minions the weapons they need and hand select wonderful things like bombs or handwritten notes for the hero. They're just so giving.

5. Physical Touch

Another one that they're fabulous at. Look how sweetly they treat their henchmen, or touch the hero when they have them in their clutches. Why, they're always going around hitting those they feel most deeply about, which is obviously showing their affection.

Which of the five love languages does your villain show most? How are other ways they show love? Tell me in the comments.
