February 2022 Recap
•Honestly, I'm not sure where this month went? I don't feel like I did much, and yet it's already over.
•I set up a new desk area! With my now work from home job, I decided it was time to upgrade. I now I have a full sized desk (compared to my fold out one I used to have) with a nice new chair and shelves. I love it a lot.
•I'm trying to figure out new schedules. I tried calendar blocking, but it takes too much time and effort for me. So I'm trying something else in March.
•Gilded- Marissa Meyer (3 1/2 stars)
•Monsters of Men- Patrick Ness (4 stars)
•We Hereby Refuse-Frank Abe (3 stars)
•The Last Celestials- Becca Mionis (4 stars)
•Golden Touch- Melody Personette (4 stars)
•The Librarian of Auschwitz- G. Iturbe Antonio (3 stars)
•Single and Satisfied- Nancy Wilson (5 stars)
•Cloud 9 (pretty average DCOM)
•The Wonderland (kind of bizarre anime)
•Your Name (a very good anime. I can't say much about it, but go watch it)
•The Tomorrow War (great! Also go watch it)
•Free Guy (a funny and enjoyable movie)
•My Octopus Teacher (a little long, but cool to watch)
•I finished my Biblical fiction short story. It's available to read on my blog, so if you were curious, please give it a read.
•I got a good start on OAMH. I've read through it twice, once to just get an overview, and then again to do a deeper dive into it's problems. It certainly has some flaws, but I still love it.
Art-wise, I did make art this month, but much of it were practices or pieces for me. I'm trying to get better at heads in profile. I'm also currently working on a human version of Kai from Ninjago, so hopefully I'll have more to show next month.
•I'm going away next week to a spring retreat. Hopefully I'll have a good time, even though it's in the mountains, and I'm not a mountain girl.
•I'll continue to pray for God to send work my way. I'm still good on finances, but I'd love to start getting outside clients.
•I want to finish Kai and maybe do another ninja. I also want to make another gouache painting.
•I plan to get a good start on rewrites and edits for OAMH. I hope to work through this draft in about two months.
