5 Quick Reads (You Can Read in a Day!)

You don't always feel like sitting down with a 500+ page book. Sometimes you want a book that you can read in an afternoon, or speed through over the weekend. So here are five shorter books that you can read quickly.

1. Coraline

If you want a short but spooky book, Coraline is perfect. It's small and won't take you much time to get through, but will haunt you forever. Then you can watch the movie and be even more traumatized! Perfect for fans of spooky and well written books.

2. Matilda

Who doesn't love stories of kids showing up adults that totally had it coming? Matilda is ignored or belittled by most people in her life, so the ending of this book is very satisfactory. If you enjoy it, check out the rest of Roald Dahl's books. They're all pretty short and easy to read.

3. The Lily Gate

Do you want a cute romance you can read in a hundred pages or so? This is the perfect book. It's a retelling of the Frog Prince which I found adorable. Who doesn't love a quick little romance you can read in an evening?

4. The Ruins of Gorlan

The Ranger's Apprentice books are ones I can speed through in a few days, tops. I could probably do them in one if I had enough time. Something about the writing draws in you from page one and won't let you put it down until the story is finished. And there are eleven more to enjoy!

5. Page by Paige

I always recommend this graphic novel. It has great art and a good story. Plus it's an easy read, so you can do it in an afternoon. Highly recommend for introverts or those with social anxiety. You will feel seen.

Have you read any of these? What are your quick read recs? Tell me in the comments.
