1 Dress, 3 Ways

1 Dress, 3 Ways

The wonderful thing about clothes is how you can mix and match the pieces to make a brand new outfit, even when you feel like you have nothing to wear. And you can do the same with dresses as you can with skirts and tops. Here are three ways you can take one dress and give it three different looks.

Way 1: Classy

Take your dress and pair it with some nice jewelry, a pair of flats, and some fancy make-up and you're ready to go. Finish it off with an up-swept hairdo and a nice purse, if you have one. Perfect for: Church, parties, or fancy events.

Way 2: Cool

Since all dresses seem to come with short or no sleeves, it may seem like you can't wear them in the winter as much. But if you wear a sweater, some leggings, and a pair of boots, your outfit is instantly warmer. Perfect for: Winter and fall.

Way 3: Casual

Lastly, you can always dress down a dress for everyday wear. Wear your dress with some tennis shoes (Converse type is great, and in style) and a button-up shirt or jacket and you've taken it from glam to normal. You could even add a baseball cap or other hat if you want. Perfect for: Everyday occasions.

Bonus way: Skirt

There's also a secret way you can wear a dress. Put a tee-shirt on top of the dress and voila, instant skirt! No one will know you didn't get a new skirt, you just used a dress for one. Sneaky, right?

And thanks to my sister for helping take the pictures. She has a blog called Scribbled Fiction and you should totally check it out. Not just because she's my sister, but she's a really good writer.

Let's talk! How do you like to wear your dresses? Which of these looks is your favorite? Tell me in the comments.

    1. That's fine. I really like the way that one came out too. I might have to wear it once it gets warmer. :)
